Where card details have already been stored and verified through Caterpay - either by the guest at the point of booking online, or manually captured by staff - they can be charged directly within Caterbook, via the payment gateway.
(For charging cards tokenised from OTA bookings please see here.)
Open the booking record and go to the Finance tab. Where a card has previously been Verified (or Charged), there will be a record of a previous transaction, and at the end of the row will be a blue card icon, which can be used to Rebill the card.
If several different cards have previously been processed for a reservation, you can view the last 4 digits and expiry to ensure you charge the correct card.
Clicking the blue card icon to Rebill will pop up a screen like the one below:
Here, choose the Purpose (Deposit or Balance) and enter the desired Amount.
On clicking Save, you'll get an Authorised or Declined response and the booking balance will update to reflect any change if successful.
Declined responses are shown in red.
The icon with two red arrows in a circle allows you to Refund a previous payment.
