If a guest who booked through an OTA contacts you wanting to change their stay dates, we always recommend that this is done at the OTA and not within Caterbook.
This can involve the guest logging in to manage their booking, contacting the OTA directly, or even you as the property contacting the OTA to request a change of dates, all of which can be quite time consuming for either party.
Booking.com now enable you to make this simpler for the guest by logging in to your property in their extranet and requesting a change of dates on the guest's behalf.
To do this, search for the reservation and click into it. At the top of the right hand panel you will see a 'Request date change' button.
Clicking this will enable you to message the guest, who will then need to confirm that this is what they want to do by clicking in an email .
The modified reservation details will then be forwarded to Caterbook and the booking will be updated automatically.
