Caterbook supports the sending of SMS and email.
You can filter whether a template goes out based on it being made by any or all of Staff, Website or OTA.
You can send a template based on the booked Rate plan (eg try and upsell Breakfast to those booking Room Only).
You can send messages to guests who book though a specific OTA, eg only those booked through Expedia.
You can create messages for specific corporate partners.
As well as on new/cancelled bookings, messages can be triggered when a guest checks in or out, and you can set a delay in minutes to ensure guests aren't still talking to staff in reception when their "welcome" message arrives on their phone.
Messages can also be sent out based around a property's scheduled check in and out times. With check in at 2pm, you could send a courtesy message 4 hours (or 2 days) prior to provide directions. Or 14 hours before a 10am check out (ie at 8pm the evening before) you can send an email containing a payment link, enabling your guest to settle their outstanding balance online in order to make a quick getaway in the morning.
Caterbook can be configured as an SMTP client for your property's reception@ or bookings@ email account. This means that the emails you send to your guests actually do come from you, not us on your behalf. This positively impacts on email delivery because the guest's ISP is far less likely to spam tag the email Caterbook sends in this way.
