When bookings are made some time in advance of arrival, it's possible that the card the guest used to secure the booking may have expired by the time the booking comes around, leaving the property with an issue if they then need to charge that card.
In Caterbook, if a booking is set to arrive within the next 2 weeks, but has a payment card that has an expiry date which is before the departure date, an alert will appear on the dashboard.
You can create an email template to send to the guest, requiring them to verify a new card, or even pay a deposit for a specific value ahead of arrival.
Alternatively, you could just add a note to the booking regarding the expiring card.
