Also known as Yield Management, pricing in Caterbook can be set to adjust per room type within a Rate plan, based on the number of rooms available and lead time. The following video shows you how to configure dynamic pricing.
It's important to note when setting dynamic pricing rules that where prices are already derived from another Rate plan, the price adjustment set on the dynamic rule will be based on the same percentage or fixed fee basis that has already been set at the derived stage.
In the example below, the Non Refundable Rate plan is derived from the Bed & Breakfast Rate plan with a fixed offset of 10 (pounds). If we then add a dynamic pricing rule for the twin Room type, the 'Adjust Price' of 10 will also be as a fixed offset of pounds, so £110 + £10 = £120 for Wed 12th:
But in our next example, the Non Refundable Rate plan is derived from the Bed & Breakfast rate plan with a percentage offset of 10. This time, adding a dynamic pricing rule for the twin Room type applies the adjusted price as a percentage and so £110 +10% = £121 for Wed 12th:
