From within Caterbook, you can create a re-usable email template with a link to pay the full booking balance.
Sometimes you will need to create a link for a guest to pay a fixed amount, like a deposit, where you were unable to take payment on booking for whatever reason.
This can't be done in Caterbook, but is possible from within your Merchant Management System (MMS) login.
From Virtual Terminal on the menu, change the Transaction process to "Generate a Pay Button".
Enter the required amount you wish to charge.
Under Order Description, you should enter the booking reference number for easy reconciliation.
Please note, this will NOT update the booking in Caterbook with the payment, this will need to be manually recorded in the booking once it has been confirmed.
Scroll down to "Pay Button Details".
You are required to enter a value for the "Redirect URL on success". This should ideally be a page on your website where you have a message thanking the guest for their payment.
Ensure the "Amount is fixed" is selected.
Click "Generate a Pay Button".
Scroll to the bottom of the next screen and enter the guest's email address, and then click "Email to Customer".
